What is Ciclos?
It is an innovative urban mobility project based on promoting cycle logistics. Its objective is greater inclusion and participation of the elderly and people with disabilities in the daily life of the municipality, offering sustainable transport alternatives.
The project’s main challenges
- Improve air quality and life in Esplugues by reducing transport CO₂ emissions.
- Promote cycle logistics as an opportunity for urban and business development, encouraging the use of electric vehicles in logistics.
- Offer inclusive mobility adapted for the elderly and people with disabilities.
- Promote physical activity and active aging through the use of bicycles and activities especially aimed at people over 60 years old and with disabilities.
- Facilitate the participation of people with reduced mobility in the cultural, sports, and social life of the municipality.
- Raise awareness about sustainable mobility and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) with innovative and impactful methodologies.
